Water Fees
Water Rates. All structures, dwelling units, establishments, and person using water from the municipal water system shall be required to purchase and install such number of water meters as are necessary to adequately measure use and determine water charges to the respective user. Residential monthly rates are as follows:
Metered rate: There shall be a minimum charge of Twenty-seven Dollars ($27.00) for each one month period beginning the 30th of each month for which the consumer shall be entitled to ten thousands (10,000) gallons of water per month.
Each additional one thousand (1,000) gallons of water used over the monthly allotment shall be paid for at the rate of One Dollar ($1.00) per thousand.
Unmetered users and new hook-ups will be required to pay the required cost to install a meter for their services. Unmetered rates for residential will be $100.00 each month until their meter is installed.

Multi units such as duplex, four plex, apartment complex, trailer courts, etc. will be $27.00 per unit occupied.
The rate charged for surplus water, supplied to premises outside the corporate limits of Milford City, shall be at the one month meter rate of $54.00 per Residential Equivalent beginning on the 30th day of each month. Each consumer will be entitled to ten thousand (10,000) gallons per month. Each additional one thousand (1,000) gallons shall be paid for at the rate of One Dollar ($1.00) per thousand gallons.
Section 2. Water Connections. Milford City will make water service connections, upon application, when in the opinion of the City Council such connections are desirable, charging the actual cost to connect including labor and materials. Manhour and Equipment will be charged as follows:
Man Hours $35.00 per hour per man
Backhoe $130.00 per hour includes one operator
Saw Cement or Asphalt $150.00 minimum thereafter $50.00 per hour
Dump Truck $120.00 per hour plus man hours
