MINUTES OF MILFORD CITY
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
26 SOUTH 100 WEST, MILFORD, UTAH
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11, 2008 7:00 PM
The Milford City Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Beebe at 7:15 p.m.
Present: Chairman Cory Beebe; Commissioners Terry Wiseman, Cullen Carter, Shawn Higgins, Malina Stewart, and Lisa Carter; Zoning Administrator, Makayla Bealer.
Visitors: Andy Swapp-Wind Turbine Legislation
RECOGNITION AND RESPONSE TO VISITOR
Andy Swapp and the commission discussed and reviewed his comments about the proposed ordinance on wind turbines at the public hearing.
CONSENT ISSUES
Review and approval of the regular meeting minutes of May 14, 2008.
MOTION: Commissioner L. Carter made a motion to approve the minutes as written, Commissioner Stewart seconded the motion, and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
BUSINESS
Action on Legislation for RM6S, RM and Wind Turbines
MOTION: Commissioner Wiseman made a motion to recommend the legislation for RM6S, RM and Wind Turbines to the City Council at their regular meeting on June 17, 2008, Commissioner Stewart seconded the motion, and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
Recommendations for Planning and Zoning Vacancy
Chairman Beebe stated that Gloria McDermott contact the city office on 5-19-08 regarding the vacant seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Commissioner Wiseman asked Chairman Beebe if he had contacted the people he said was interested at the last meeting to seat on the commission. Mr. Beebe stated that he hadn’t contacted them, but he feels they would be interested in seating on the commission. The commission discussed leaving the vacant seat open until they have multiple applicants.
MOTION: Commissioner C. Carter made a motion to leave the vacant seat open until they have multiple applicants, Commissioner Higgins seconded the motion, and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
COMMISION REPORTS AND COMMENTS
The commission decided to review all the Conditional Use Permits. Lost and Founds conditional use permit will be reviewed on July 9th. Ms. Bealer will send a letter inviting them to attend the meeting to discuss the conditions.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no further business, Chairman Beebe adjourned the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
