MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
August 8, 2007
The Milford City Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairperson Thieme at 7:00 p.m.
Present were, Chairman, Robert Thieme. Members: Cory Beebe, Robert Shaw and Terry Wiseman; Zoning Administrator, Arden Fowles. Visitors: Lana Shaw.
1. Review and approval of the regular meeting minutes of July 11, 2007. Commissioner Beebe made a motion to approve the minutes as written, Commissioner Shaw seconded the motion and all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously.
2. Review, discussion and action concerning proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance. Specifically to chapters dealing with landscaping, (13.33) and yards and set setbacks (13.34). A public hearing having been held prior to this meeting. After having gone over the draft copies of the proposed ordinances and discussing specific amendments as were discussed in previous meetings on this subject (May and July, 2007), Commissioner Beebe made a motion to approve the amendments as written for recommendation to the city council for approval and adoption. Commissioner Wiseman seconded the motion. All were in favor. The motion was passed unanimously.
3. Review and action as necessary regarding open conditional use permits. The list of open and current conditional use permits as discussed in the previous meeting of July 11, 2007 having been presented and at various levels among the commission having been inspected and using a written review as presented by Commissioner Shaw as a platform for discussion, there was a consensus of opinion that three (3) permits require attention.
1. 01-02 Mike’s Tire and Oil,
2. 96-3 Mac’s Car Wash
3. No # Sherwood’s RV Park
All others were found to be in order. The commission felt that substantial good could be done by inviting the three permit holders mentioned above to the next commission meeting which will be called for September 12, 2007 and asked that that message be extended to the owners and request their attendance at that meeting.
4. Commission Reports and Comments. As there were no further issues or comments Chairman Thieme adjourned the meeting at 7:40 p.m.
